Two musical events: one here, one there

I’m excited to tell you about two upcoming musical events–one here @ the Burlington Public Library, and one up in Bellingham.

Join us tomorrow (Saturday, March 12) @ BPL for another session of Music in the Stacks. From 2-3pm settle into a comfortable chair and enjoy the blues guitar and harmonica of Tom Rigney, the Lone Blues Man.

And my apologies in advance to anyone who expects the library to be a quiet place. We’re a community gathering place–sort of a neighborhood living room–and for Music in the Stacks on the 2nd Saturday of each month we turn the volume up just a bit.

If you’re a Jodi Picoult fan I’ve got good news. We’ve got her latest book, Sing Them Home, which  has a music connection, and even includes a CD of original songs created especially for the novel. Jodi is going to be in Bellingham this coming Monday night at an event sponsored by Village Books. Here are the details:
Monday, March 14 @ 6:30 pm
Leopold Crystal Ballroom
1224 Cornwall Avenue

Jodi Picoult will be joined by Ellen Wilber, the composer of the songs on the book’s CD. Read more about the book, and the event, at the Village Books Website. Just click on Jodi’s photo, she’s the woman with long, curly red hair.
