One of the best parts of my job is being able to share some of my favorite books and authors. On my lunch break today I was nearing the end of Richard Russo’s book That Old Cape Magic. I’ve spent about a week with these characters –reading on my lunch breaks, and in other spare moments–and I’m going to miss them when I finish their story.

Once again, Russo has written a book about people who aren’t perfect—in fact they’re downright annoying at times—but that just makes them all the more enduring and true-to-life.

You may also enjoy Straight Man, another of my favorites that notes “is classic Russo–side-splitting and true-to-life, witty, compassionate, and impossible to put down.”
