Top 10 most read books in the world

I find this infographic fascinating.  You can check out the source at squidoo.com/mostreadbooks; how they came up with the list is a little fuzzy.  Strict accuracy aside, no one would argue that these 10 books have certainly been international best-sellers.  What interests me is that it doesn’t seem representative of what we consider to be the most popular reading genres currently.  Out of 10, four are non-fiction (if you count the Bible as non-fiction) and five are science fiction/fantasy.  These days, fiction is considered much more widely read than non-fiction, mysteries being the top fictional genre, with sci-fi far down the list.  And of non-fiction, cooking and other DIY subjects are much more sought after than politics, although memoir remains high on the list.

What do you think?  Is this list accurate?
