Do you know Burlington is 110 this June? I know, it doesn’t look a day over 90, but it’s true. We’re celebrating, and you’re invited.
The final in a series of events marking the anniversary is Monday, June 25, at the Burlington Public Library, from 6:30-7:30.
Presenters include Edie Edmundson as Master of Ceremonies, Mayor Steve Sexton, and Margie Wilson offering a Living History performance, as well as a display of old photographs and a timeline. The focus of the evening is a panel of long-time residents, including Don Mapes and Jim Neff, sharing their stories and memories.
In case you don’t know, Burlington has a lot of surprisingly raucous stories in its past. This will be a fun evening! Birthday cake will be served.
The event is free to the public, and families are welcome.
