e-readers increase reading???

Can it be so?  E-readers are certainly shaking up the reading world.  We hear a lot about the economics and impacts on the publishing world, and a lot about the various kinds of devices; but we hear less about the impact on readers and reading.

Click here to see an attractive infographic showing some very sad (“One out of two Americans aged  18-24 don’t read a single book for pleasure”) and very interesting (“E-readers: our ticket back to widespread smarts”) assertions.

What do you think?  Do you have one?  Do you read more because of it?  Tell us in the comments.
