Read All Day!

I’m a sucker for all things book–books about books, blogs about books, movies about books, lists of books–you get the idea.

I just started reading a book about books, Tolstoy and the purple chair: my year of magical reading by Nina Sankovitch. After her sister died, Sankovitch read a book a day as a way of coping with her loss. She blogged every day as well, about all the books she was reading, and now she’s written a book about her book-a-day adventure.

When I’ve finished reading the book I’ll come back and tell you more about it. For now you can go to her wonderful blog: Read All Day.

To whet your appetite, here are her tips on how to read all day:

Always have a book with you.
Read while waiting.
Read while eating.
Read while exercising.
Read before bed.
Read before getting out of bed.
Read instead of updating FB.
Read instead of watching TV.
Read instead of vacuuming.
Read while vacuuming.
Read with a book group.
Read with your kid.
Read with your cat.
Read to your dog.
Read on a schedule.
Always have a book with you.
