Soups on!

soup
It makes perfect sense that January is National Soup Month–a big bowl of hot soup tastes pretty good on a cold day. We’ve got soup cookbooks–and crockpot cookbooks with soup and stew recipes–if you want to try something new.

Check out these titles:
50 chowders: one-pot meals–clam, corn & beyond
Fix-it and forget-it cookbook : feasting with your slow cooker
Simply soup: soups, broths, and chowders to nourish and satisfy
Slow cooking : 100 recipes for the slow cooker, the oven and the stove top
Soups & stews

There’s even an ebook cookbook that you can download for inspiration:
New vegetarian: more than 75 fresh, contemporary recipes for pasta, tagines, curries, soups, and stews, and desserts

While January may be almost over, I think soup weather is here for a while longer. I’ve got a pot of Chicken Tortilla soup simmering in my slow cooker today, and I can’t wait to sit down and enjoy a big bowl of hot soup for supper tonight.
