Imagine you’re holding a plate filled with tasty, locally-sourced bits of yummyness in a room filled with interesting, friendly people. In your hand is a glass of wine, if you indulge in such things. There’s live music in the background, a luscious silent auction to drool over, you just bought some raffle tickets, and you could win a door prize any minute. And all of this is happening in a library!
One of the most enjoyable events in Skagit county, benefiting one of the greatest causes, in the loveliest library you’re likely to see, the fourth annual “Books, Bites, and Burgundy” is scheduled for Saturday, September 14. The festivities run from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., and proceeds support library programs and resources. Tickets are $30 per person, and may be purchased at the library or at Stowe’s Shoes and Clothing in Burlington. Must be 21 or older to attend.
